I've been running the duratrac 265/65/17 for the last 30k/2 years and I love them. I do go off road a lot with them on some really rocky trails, and they worn great and still look like new tires. They are also great tires on road with out a lot of noise with that aggressive look and perform very well in the rain. Plus did I mention they are a really really good off road. I'll to be moving up to a 285/70/17 duratrac when I have to replace my tire. This is how they look now. Hope this helps.

I have the General Grabber ATXs on my truck. 265/75/16. I like them a lot so far but I haven’t put a ton of miles on them yet. They are far superior to the stock Toyos on wet and dry pavement. Only slightly louder on the highway but it’s exactly what I’d expect from an AT tire.

They also have the three peak mountain snowflake rating. At this point, I highly recommend them.

Picture below for reference on looks

You'll get a lot more miles and less noise.

30K miles on a set of tires is not very good, IMHO. The Michelins will run 60K or more and they are not 2X the cost.

Op, whatever you do, "do not" buy Duratracs. They are too manly for your Spirt.

Even though they have the best rain rating, comes with the 3 peak snow designation, and are pretty quiet considering how aggressive of a thread on them. Also best rim protection out there and comes in a C Load or an E load.

    Don't say I didn't warn you......

I wouldn’t let weight of the tire deter you too much. I went from a 265/75/16 geolander mt to a 285/75/16 toyo rt (5 lbs heavier) and actually gained mpg. I think tread pattern plays a huge role. Rolling resistance and things like that. Just my .02. Good luck with your search

x2 for Cooper AT3 4S. I'm on my second set and they've performed incredibly well. The handling and control is superb in all conditions and they have done very well off road. Best tire I've ever driven for rain. Best non-dedicated winter tire I've ever driven in snow/ice. Relatively low cost, low weight.

Just joking I had them made. They are just a custom vinyl sticker I had done.

How many miles did you get out of your first set?

Comparing Cooper AT3 vs Duratracs vs Ridge Grapplers vs Michelin MS now lol. This forum gives me too many options...

On my 2nd set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT and about to have 3rd set installed. I swap every three years. Each set ends up with 45K miles. I've always been able to sell them on CL. They have a 60K tread life warranty. I'm ok with not running them to 60K as I want decent tread depth going into hunting season & winter.

I think the 4S would be better for your intended use/looks.

That's what I keep telling myself. Maybe I could glue some better looking sidewall tread on :homer:

Those look good! I'm comparing the LT vs 4S at the moment. 4S definitely seems better for my usage, but the LT looks better.
