That's pretty fucking wicked. Even more so if it was a slider in a previous life.

Steel front and rear bumpers bolted to the frame replacing the stock shock absorbing bumpers. Because why wouldn’t you want to increase the chances of frame damage in a moderate collision?

It's a tyger auto faux slider.... yes I used them as sliders ( not recommended:fistbump:)
I finally had @Shmellmopwho build me a set, then we chopped up the tyger and welded that fucker to the rear bumper.;)
Fucking Toyota and their plastic 6 part POS didn't protect anything.

I think in a mild/moderate fender bender with the majority of vehicles on the road today I’ll fair way better with my solid steel plate bumper bolted to the frame. Do you feel the same way about the receiver hitch bolted to your frame with NO shock absorbing bumpers? Or maybe you’re being sarcastic…

    Nice! You win.

My plastic PoS has taken some lumps so far. Recently ran over a busted semi tire retread. I was worried that it did some bad things as it flopped around, but it only left a mark on the right rear fender in front of the wheel and slapped the bumper cap leaving some new impressions.

It does suck as the 2nd Gens had that right along with proper LED / amber tail lights.

IIRC, trucks do not even need a bumper (EDIT: a rear one anyway), let alone a shock absorbing one. There is nothing shock absorbing about the matte black (SR FTW) 2nd gen rear bumper. I remember my 1974 Datsun 260Z had actual oil filled shock absorbers between the bumper and frame mount. I'm old enough to remember 5MPH bumpers. The sad part is that with colour matched bumper overriders, bumpers have become part of the bodywork, and are just as expensive to fix.
But yeah, I guess they could be technically sacrificial, but they sure do transmit shock.

Nothing brings out anger more than those annoying F-ing "Salt Life" stickers.... WTF, dude your tag is from Kansas or Oklahoma then you visit Floriduh and buy stickers to proclaim your one week vacation was transformative thus you becoming a ocean expert I guess..... RRRR, I digress.
Close second is triple A sticker. No one in a Taco needs stinking roadside coverage. LOL :)

Lol. I have love for both. I like the low end punch in my taco’s 4.0. I also like the smooth high rev on the 3.5 in my GS.

Obligatory annoyance: aftermarket freer exhaust without proper tune in Naturally Aspirated application. All bark but no bite. Seriously guys, get a nice tune from Justin.

I think annoying is an interesting word and folks should look deep inside if they are triggered by repeat additions to a truck that is at baseline very similar to millions. People want to stand out a bit, even if among their fellow Tacoma owners they don’t. To each their own, but none of us are really that special :hattip:
