If they were slowly crawling through it I’m sure it wouldn’t of happened. Sounds like they went bajaing into it and the displaced water went gushing outwards into the fender area

just a little assumption on my part, so I looked into it a little more. Seems the more important issue is the crush rate (yes OEM bumpers affect that) and airbag deployment. So depends on the aftermarket bumper. Some good info on the ARB aftermarket bumpers, they take it all into account with their design.

I would have thought the same thing, but no it was a decent speed nothing crazy fast. All in a line with vehicles before and after. I actually went through a little faster. That night I checked my air box and saw the remains of dirty water down the inside into the drain hole. That sold the snorkel for me. Take a look in your air box and take a look at you air inlet under the inner fender liner to see if you have any splashes, I had a ton.

The old mercs were fairly simple machines and intuitive to drive. The new ones? not so much.

My mom's C-class has some weird touchpad-mouse thing going on the center console that I can't figure out for shit. Also, as you said, trans controls where the windshield wipers should be. And heaven help you if you accidentally touch a flappy paddle and then want to get back to auto-shift mode.

    I dislike that car. :anonymous:

Pretty sure it was just done in humor. Some are sensitive here though and I thought it was all in fun. At least I think it’s a fun thread lol.
