How does the 255 run on the highway? I'm looking at 2558017. Coming from Cooper AT3 4's 2657516. Can these do 80mph without feeling loose? They look fantastic!

Yes they feel really stable an ride nice can confirm up to 90. They are a little louder then the Cooper AT3 4s but nothing crazy it is little more aggressive tire.
On 60+ spedo is off 3-4mph.
I am on Eibach pro lift, 2inch up front, icon aal 1.5 rear, which was big improvement in ride an handling even on the Coopers. I've only got 500 miles on Toyo so far, plan run this tire Fall-Spring in Ohio.

Drove about 500 miles this weekend on my 255s bumped up to 40psi cold. Was previously at 34. They feel much lighter/smoother at 40 when the road is good. When the road is bad it feels a little more rough. Was getting 15mpg at 34psi. Hoping to do a little better at 40. I'm keeping them at 40 now. Love these tires so far. It's been about 2k miles total.

I am running the LT265/75R16s in owl and love them. Have only had them for about 3000 miles and they seem to get better with age. That being said how can I find out if they were made in the U.S. or Japan?

It's on the side wall. Either stamped MADE IN JAPAN or MADE IN USA in a little oval.
    Mine are made in Japan.

I love them so far, can't wait till winter to try them out in the snow/ice.

Pretty sure the LTs are made in Japan which have the more aggressive sidewall.

Looking at tirerack.com's table of sizes and country of origin, I can't see any pattern. A lot of the popular LT/E-rated sizes are from Japan but other LTs are not.

    https://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.jsp?tireMake=Toyo&tireModel=Open+Country+A/T+III

All things being equal I am glad to have a LT265/75R16 from Japan. I guess you can't really go wrong either way in terms of quality. I never bought Toyo before so I don't really know about their US operation.

Once I see a good deal at @Discount Tire I will ask them to confirm what I am ordering. I'd hate to be the first guy to get the China version of some tire that has always been made elsewhere. This happened to a buddy of mine with another tire brand recently.

Post #619 from Toyo, USA made have more aggressive sidewall.
I'm running 255/80/17 Load E, USA stamped. Also the extra sipe on sidewall facing out makes it look more aggressive as well.

Nitto and Toyo are made in USA in the same factory.

Not all Toyo are made in USA. Toyo is very open about that see post 619 email from Toyo. Its also stamped on sidewall if USA or Japan. Its unclear if its dependent on sizes or load rating.

That's why Toyo told me. They also said the Toyo has a mileage warranty where the Nittos do not. Don't kill the messenger:ballchain:

Japan. It'll be stamped on the sidewall.
