I'm in the market and currently can't decide what tire to get. I'm on the fence between the BFG KO2's, Wildpeak A/T3W's, or Open Country AT 3's. I live in Summit County CO so good snow performance is a MUST, and good grip on rock would be nice.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Wildpeaks, as they're cheapest by $150 and have a slightly better warranty.

I'd be getting 265/75/R16 for my '02 Tacoma, which currently has a set of Big Foot AT NT tires that are pretty good on trail and rock, but really struggle in the wet and snowy.

@Discount Tire any discounts or promos coming up? Any feedback would be appreciated, especially if you've used more than one.

Wildpeaks are fantastic in the snow and do well off-road. Can’t beat them for the money!

I am in the same boat, but i also have the goodyear ultra terrain on my short list. I do think the toyos will be what i go with i like the 500 mile trial period. I was wondering if @Discount Tire can confirm the 500 mile trial if i purchase at discount. One of my other tire issues is SL or E rating i tow a kayak trailer a few times a month that weighs around 1400lbs and do some light off roading several times a month.

Thank you for your inquiry, you have narrowed down your search to 3 solid choices. Although there isnt anything we see in the immediate future for these tires, we would be happy to help further. PM on the way.

Yes, Toyo offers a 500 mile trial on some of their tires. This is offered directly from Toyo and we would certainly be able to assist with this program should there be an issue.

We would like to call out that there are some specifications under this program. For example "Offer excludes original equipment tires, winter tires, competition tires, commercial tires, Proxes R1R and M-55. Commercial, racing, or off–road use, improper load or misapplication, or damage by road hazards or other abuse, is also excluded."

With this said we always want our customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchase and the product, should someone be dissatisfied we would love the opportunity to make it right.

    PM on the way

The wildpeaks are by far the best overall AT tire I’ve run on my truck. Duratracs were the best in the snow but were awful in the rain and got super loud after 20K miles. Wildpeaks were a close second in the snow compared to the duratracs. I just bought a set of the toyo AT3s.

Love my Duratracs, especially in the rain & snow.

I know that SL and E are different load ratings, but if I'm never towing anything and would never have to inflate the tires beyond 50 PSI, is there any difference? I have a fairly constant 500lbs of gear in the bed

Thanks for that, I guess it'll come down to looks and cost.
