I think people would be reasonable given he already made an exception to do a pre order. Still, a range would have worked, and a lot of ecommerce apps allow for time-based restocking nowadays.

 

I would like to think people would be reasonable... but you never know, can't always make everyone happy regardless of the situations.

Love MESO but this is a train wreck. We're gonna do pre orders on Friday. Just keep checking suckers. You that miss out will just wait in line. What????

It's going to royally suck for those who's been hitting refresh since the early hours (one guy said 2am CT lol) and in the 15 minutes they don't for whatever reason, they miss out.

 

Really letting me get my impulse purchase in check.

 

Train wreck? Nah, not even close. Have you seen the KTJo grab handle thread? I don't foresee this happening to us with MESO.

 

As someone who put in a Preorder for the KTJO Grab Handle and HUD, this is the furthest thing from a train wreck. I mean, I did get the handle, it's still not installed because of the incorrect mounting hardware. I have it in still in the box just sitting.

 

To be fair, companies like YT Industries also does this. Refreshing their page became a daily task for me. They sell out every single year, so it's up to the dedicated to snag one of their bikes. They build such an awesome product, I am willing to put in the work.

Similarly, MESO sells out every release. It's a seller's market. You can be patient and put in the work, or go elsewhere. Either way, these will sell out.

I don't mean to sound harsh, that's just my take on it.

 

Why the trip? Emails notifications work. I expect a large restock on other items as well. Lots of preparation, small team, jammed up shipping across the world with only a few days to prepare the actual functionality of the pre-orders. Y'all wanted this. Feels like a solid from Meso. "Wah".

 

Yeah. How did you feel when you ordered? Not after the fact, when you ordered???

 

Nobody is tripping / crying, not even saying there was any mal-intent on MESO's end. I just value my time is all, and I'm curious of the strategy behind it because to me -- yes, just another random consumer -- it makes little sense beyond "well I'm going to sell it anyway so ya'll can go fend for yourselves."

Regardless, I don't think this pre-order will be any issue. When MESO gets stock, it's usually available for a few days, minimum. I think the tail lights will have an equivalent stock, if not more. And, with the price being higher than most of his items (for good reason I might add) I don't think as many people would jump on the pre-order.

 

Yeah I understand it will sell, but I'm just worried despite "putting in the work," I'll miss out when I go take my morning poop or something lol. SCS does this the "right" way. Gives us a stock drop update with precise time, still sells within minutes but at least the customer didn't waste hours of their life refreshing.

 

His web dev sucks and he doesn't know when he is dropping. No biggie. It's pretty obvious. There is no need to keep refreshing or wonder the strats. Bit of trip.

Haha but on a serious note, putting it that way, I agree with you. A stock drop update is great. I guess the up side to not having that drop update is that instead of 1000 people fighting to get in first that specific time, you could get lucky and snag it since only you and 100 other people are refreshing daily.

 

Just a thought. MJ Motorsports is based out of Hawaii but that doesn't mean the product will ship from Hawaii.
