What do you mean?? Redarc specifically states that 1225d works with LiFePO4 batteries. I mean, if you want to go bigger, knock yourself out, but... You really should PLAN out what is your end goal, and purchase your stuff accordingly.

If you're planning on that Ampere Time battery (you can also buy it on Amazon), on top of LDI also look into an updated BMS. Apparently one that's built in, doesn't prevent charging in freezing temps.

 

Another vote here for 2 matching AGMs and an ML-ACR. I've been running this way for almost 6 years. The batteries are happy and healthy and everything continues to work correctly.

 

If anyone is looking for a Blue Seas ML-ACR that is slightly used but working, I have one (complete with instructions) I will sell.

Looking for some advice on running my

$749 IceCo VL45 ProS Portable Refrigerator, Multi-directional Lid, Dual USB & DC 12/24V, AC 110-240V, 45L Steel Compact Refrigerator Powered by SECOP, 0℉ to 50℉, Home & Car Use [Upgrade, 47 Quarts]

IceCo VL45 fridge from (for now) a single battery.
It will run for maybe 36 hours a time tops. I would like to go the route of the single battery for now that has the juice to run this little fridge (probably set at like 40 degrees) and not have to worry about it totally killing it to where I need to use my Jump box. I will eventually add another battery right beside it but for now I want to spend the money as these projects come along and not dish it all out at once.

I want to run a Blue seas panel to the bed so I can move the fridge back there and plug it up or put the fridge behind the passenger seat and plug it up there as well. I aim to run the power straight from the battery unless you all think the Voswitch can be safely used as the on/off for the power cables to the fridge.

What battery are you running? Is it a traditional lead acid starting battery? What is the Ah rating on it?

 

I picked up an Optima sc34du, Ah is 55

 

I really doubt you'll get 36 hours out of that battery, and certainly won't have enough to start the truck at that point. For reference, my Northstar 24F with 76 Ah, will get below 11 volts after about 24 hours of running my fridge.

 

I've gone ahead and ordered myself an 80w solar panel, so that ought to hold me over, yea?

 

You can use Lithium with the 1225d just need to make sure you have selected a compatible Li.

 

Ever see battery terminals like these? Where can I get a set?

Im wanting to setup my bed electrical like this, but also being cheap and not wanting to order the aluminum. Is it possible to mount on wood?

im just going to have my 6 fuse blue sea, battery, breakers, and the CTEK D250SE that I just got in.

i also like the second picture, but nothing exists in my searches like that. Anyone know the name of it so i can expand my search? I have a 98% dry bed, as this will be mounted inside of my GFC

Wood? Maybe. kinda looks like the box from 2nd pic might be made out of wood/plywood

I thought that second picture was pressed/bent aluminum or steel thats been powdercoated. I just dont have the resources to do myself. I can weld steel, but not aluminum

How are people wiring up say a Switch Pro or third Fuse Blocks with a split system? I have been running a Switch Pro and made a little platform for my Blue Sea and Amp Fuse holder. Everything is on the driver side right by the factory fuse box. When I go to a dual battery (in the process now of tearing it down and gathering new parts) I want to do a split system (like the Off-grid kit) to distribute weight better and really because I don't have much room in the stock corner anymore, especially with the supercharger. My concern is where do I mount my Switch pro and other goodies if my Auxiliary battery is in the opposite corner? I plan to run my winch off the starter and that's it. Everything else will be ran off the auxiliary. The auxiliary will also be feeding a 6 slot blue sea fuse block for misc items. All lighting will be through the switch pro that will be hooked up to the main positive on the auxiliary (looking at upgraded terminals that have options to hook up other power wires, like the SDHQ terminals). I need to draw it all out. This all all new to me, and to be honest.. electrical isn't my strong suit. Hoping to get a bunch of good info from you all here. A list of need vs want for parts is needed too. Too much out there and not sure what I truly need.
