Can anyone recommend an air compressor that will fit underneath the seats? Or if you've found other solutions as well? I want to have a decent air compressor in my truck at all times with a 2 hose adapter, and the ARB twin under the hood mount may be a little pricey for how often I'll use it.

What works for you? Which ones should I avoid?

    Thanks.

Oh shoot, I didn't get the notifications but thank you guys. I actually hadn't seen this before and this is awesome.

Do you guys have the seat jackers installed too? I wanted to but I honestly find that I'm already a little tall, my line of sight is slightly cut off by the front sun visor. I can imagine jacking the seat up a couple inches might make that worse? Are seat jackers necessary to clear a compressor?

Yes, they are required, that's why I'm putting it under the passenger seat, since I'm tall also. Passengers can just put the seat back a bit more lol..

Not a bad idea. Send a pic when you finish up the install! This is a pretty rad setup. Thanks for the info!

by the time you purchase the seat jackers and the mount, you are paying more than the under hood mount.

Yeah agree. It’s kind of nice to have the compressor in the cabin though. All good options.

I got a 1 gallon husky air compressor placed inside my tool box and plug into the 120v AC outlet in the bed. It pump faster then most 12v DC air compressor and open box at HD for $80, it’s a steal.
    Don’t mind the mess lol.

I found under the hood is better because if you have passengers they aren’t subjected to the loudness of the compressor. There are 3 different mounting locations for the twin and 4 of you ran a single. Run a chuck out of the engine bay so you don’t have to open the hood.

Why is that? I know of 3 mounting locations under the hood and 4 of you run a single

You can mount a single with a power tray next to the brake booster.

    https://www.powertrays.com/collecti...ay-05-current-tacoma-sr-sr5-trd-sport-limited

You can mount it between the radiator and grill
    https://www.moleoverland.com/product/gen-3-tacoma-hidden-grill-mount-for-arb-twin-compressor/

You can also retrofit a 2nd gen mount so it mounts next to the washer fluid like I did.

Already have a power panel in front of the brake booster:

    _IGP5541.jpg _IGP5543.jpg

Plus I already bought the under seat compressor mount and am in the process of figuring out the air hose routing and where I will route the power through the firewall to the buss box shown in the pics.

Mine will be between the bed and the box on the drivers side where the old storage box used to be.

This is pretty rad and easy to connect to and wire up. No need to pop the hood to connect to right?
