    Hello!

I was hoping for some advice. I have a 2008 tacoma, base access cab 4WD with the 2.7 in it. I have been running 16in rims since i bought the truck back in 2014. I decided to finally upgrade and buy some aftermarket rims. I bought the same exact size and was told these rims would work. I took it to walmart auto center to have the rims fitted with some new tires I also bought. As soon as i drove away, I immediately felt immense vibrations and heard a rhythmic scraping noise as i was driving. So of course i drove it straight back. They said i need spacers. So i went to buy spacers at the local auto store and got them, took them back, and the walmart guys said there wasnt enough room to tighten the lug nuts. So they put my old rims/tires back on. I decided to get a second opinion at Dunn Tire. The guy told me that I will need hub rings. At this point, I have no idea what type, size, or really anything about which hub rings i need. Obviously safety is the biggest priority. The ebay user I bought the rims from said 106 to 108mm, but I have no idea. Can anyone help? They are Pacer Nighthawk rims by the way.

    Thanks!

    B

It depends, they sell different sizes, from 1/2 inch up to 2 inches.
Post a few pics, so we know what we are looking at.
Are you sure its rubbing the uca and not just the dust shield on the brakes.

I can post some tomorrow. I tried spacers, but the ones that were available did not allow for enough room to tighten the lug nuts safely. Then i was told by the second place i need hub rings but they couldnt tell me which type. As far as the dust shield goes, im not sure. its on the front tires, and the brief time i drove it after walmart, there are randomized scratches inside, its not uniform.
