I left Denver 4 years ago... best decision I could've made.

I wished I could go back in time before it was trendy, Denver CO in the 90s would have been so much fun before all the recent explosion in popularity and population. Now it's over populated, over crowded, over priced, and too "bolded" on the map. Glad I moved, but I did enjoy my brief time living there and experiencing CO.

Yeah I was born and raised here (well technically just north in Washington). But the taxes (or lack there of) and warmer weather of southern Nevada are definitely a draw. I think we would miss the green here but definitely wouldn't miss a lot of things. Most of them related to the politics and regulations here.

FWIW I pulled a 6x12 with my 6 speed and "it was fine" is basically all I can use to describe it. I didn't go fast, hills pulled me down about 10MPH without aggressively downshifting, and I got 11-14 MPG depending on the terrain. I stayed in 4th and 5th gear with the occasional 6th downhill. But 5th was my happy spot around 65-70 in the flat.

I just moved from NJ to Florida! Really excited about the move but Florida wages really suck. Hoping to eventually start a business.

Best of luck with your move!

This. 100%. I'm Colorado born and raised and it was great before moving here became trendy.

I know how you feel. The FIRST time I moved to Arizona in the late 80's there was a very popular bumper sticker you would see everywhere, "Welcome to Arizona. Now, go home!" But yes, I'm referring to the over population of Denver area and Colorado in general.

It's the same thing. Another member mentioned earlier that they wish they could have been in Denver in the 90's ahead of all the trendiness. My thoughts exactly. In the 90's, we made some efforts to move to Denver but I could never find any work. I was in my late 20's and would have been able to make the most of the outdoors there. I would have loved it then.

Sadly, I was in my 50's before we got to Denver and a lot of that is behind me. And, it's now over crowded and over regulated and so much outdoor access is limited. I hated Denver the entire time we were there; employment was always difficult, high cost of living, high taxes, the worst roads, horrible traffic, bad air quality, and the prevailing politics are not my own.

I hope more people leave Colorado too. And, I hope more leave Arizona. Go to Texas? Yes, everyone should go to Texas!

The line under my avatar says "Ban the mods" for a good reason.
