I've kept every vehicle I've ever owned in the garage, but the Tacoma is about 6" too long to fit. It's been killing me since the day I bought it to leave it outside in the Florida sun. The black plastic trim is starting to show some "sun fatigue," even though I do my best to keep it protected with 303. I'm now considering a cover, although I know that presents issues of its own, such as paint wear, etc.

Anyone keep their Tacoma covered? I'd remove it for storms and such, but leave it on as much as possible to keep the truck out of the sun. Cover recommendations? Or, is it a bad idea entirely?

I think the consensus is these covers no matter which will rub and make small swirls and scratches.
I live in Arizona - you think you got Sun and heat...? We top 100+ about 140 days out of the year... upwards of 115+ is common.

I just keep it clean, and waxed and hope for the best.

Have you considered some sort of non-permanent shelter? Maybe your by-laws or HOA doesn't allow it as well, but a great alternative if you're able to.

    HOA...
    Hoe's.... that's what I call 'em LOL.

Don't know about ya'll but I'm not built for prison-life and if I were to live in an HOA where someone
wrote me a 'ticket' because my trash can was 1 inch out of alignment to the curb or told me I couldn't
park my car or truck on the street or that I couldn't wash my car I reckon I'd be locked up pretty quick.

"Man arrested for beating up HOA enforcer... details at 11 " LOL

You don't own your house within the an HOA, the HOA owns it. You basically have permission to live there
if you follow their rules. And they can kick you out and take your home away for you if you don't. Oh and
you get to pay them what... $100's of dollars a month just to live there?.... man I'm too cheap for that.

Then again someone down the street painted their house some color that looks straight out of Jamaica - hell yea - go for it.

I think Phoenix has more HOA's per capita than anywhere, well Floriduh might have that beat, and when a
house goes up for sale in my little No-HOA-Hood it goes within hours....

Wife has her car in one of the bays in my 2 car garage, the other a boat i'm restoring, so the truck is outside 24/7. Got another 13' boston whaler i use now, but that gets stored under a smaller boat port in the rear of the garage for the winter months.....still it kind of sucks in the winter when you get a ft of snow, or more to brush off the truck.
