Yea, I’m not sure where I’ll exit. I still like the potential, but it’s not inspiring confidence lately. I’d certainly rather cut some loose at $2

    Yes,
I'm pretty lucky that we have wide array of options available for our 401K beyond the age related retirement funds...However there are no straight index funds so you're ALWAYS getting dinged for something but the closest to an index fund which I have a toe dipped in is 0.015% management and as much as 0.97% on the heavy handed funds...
The heaviest I own is UBVVX which spun off of UBVAX. I put 50% of my 401K in UBVAX in june of 2020 and it 1.5x within 3 months and 2x by 1 year...I rebalanced since and left like 10% in there...
I hit a home run with the 75% 1 year return...

Nope. It's easier to sell the shares when I think they are do for a retraction. Once the shares are sold I'll buy some ITM puts with that cash. If I'm correct I get to buy back in and I get the profit from the puts.

Still bitter that Uncle Sam is gonna take some of your gambling winnings I see. lol

I paid a good bit of tax last year on my personal account. This year will be losses since the little cash I kept in it is all in GTii. If it moons. it won't but humor me, I'll happily pay the capital gains tax on it. lol

Man your timing with UBVVX was perfect there, you did hit a home run. Sometimes the higher management fees are worth it, I had good success with TRBCX (large caps) for several years in my 401K.
Recently moved away from small caps in my IRA they haven’t moved well generally the last 3-6 months though supposedly are expected to pick up. my work 401k is going to change some of the fund choices in October and a few good ones are in there.

I posted what I was doing in the old thread, and TRIED to convince coworkers to make a move. IT was lagging behind everything else and rip for a run...it was crazy what it did...Oh well...their loss..my gain..now instead of the retirement calculator saying "You're on track" it says "You're ahead of your goal"
    I like that :)

I'm doing my best to get my IRA in the next 10 years to say: "WTF Are you still working for?"

My 401k calculator was showing me on track until I pulled all but 30k out and rolled to my TDA IRA, now it shows I’m way behind big time lol.
My IRA manager says I can retire today but my goal is January, unless my company allows me to cut back to 2 -3 days a week next year. still working from home but ready to wave goodbye to a great situation if I have to.

So I'm reading that if certain budget issues don't resolve certain companies that find themselves forecasting returns based on these funds might suffer...
    $CLNE is one of them...

Lawd if I had that kind of gain last year I would already be retired. I think… though it’s like “maybe work a bit longer for a bigger cushion” takes hold for me haha. Also now if I want to buy something it’s not a big deal, in retirement I’ll have to think twice.

I'm just happy to have my gains and money in the Roth IRA. The roth 401 will take care of itself and I can really only choose what funds I want to put into. Fun account will allow me to claim some beautiful losses unless they magically turn. Just trying to make sure I'm happy when I retire

Not me lol. I’ll go out on a limb here and predict the CPI will show that the “temporary” inflation is the same or growing larger…
