Almost bought this 05 4 banger single cab 2wd tacoma today but when I drove it, it shook pretty bad at the red lights and stop signs...when I put it in park or neutral it was normal. So I'm assuming that its a tranny issue. Has anyone had this happen to them in a similar tacoma and does anyone know anything about these trannys and how much one would run me?

    Any info helps guys, thanks

Mine shakes too..I think it's normal.

As long as it isn't a violent shake.

Have a 98 prerunner and it runs solid and smooth, but occasionally when coming to a full stop at stop sign or red light I feel a very slight studder or small vibration coming from front brakes. I'll also feel it when letting off of the brake (occasionally). Asked my mechanic about it (who own 2000 something Tundra) and he says his does that on occasion as well. Seems like it may be a toyota thing...

Next time I change my oil I'll make sure all my bolts are on tight.

If steering wheel is shaking, then it's most likely warped rotors.

I bought an 02 4cyl. It vibrates in idle. My 09' Honda CRV does it to some degree, but the Tacome was the most noticeable. Seems normal though and runs great.
