Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I think we all have things like that.

All it takes is a look and the unnamed item explodes in some violent manner costing $$$$ while parts are coming Air Freight from Germany

Hah, we have two bi-directional sorters that are like that. They'll be fine for months, but one day it'll break 150-200 shoes and be a problem child for a couple weeks. Then go for months without issues. I'll go in early and see nobody in the shop, look at the computer and sure enough see either are in maintenance mode and quickly regret already clocking in...

    Monday...
Mowin' along, singin' a song and got too close to a rock by the road apparently - similar to the one below....

It messed up my mower a bit...

Got stung by a bee too, then saw a snake  putting the tractor away.

Parts should be here tomorrow. :spending:
Messicks better send me a Christmas card this year, I'm buried in this $100 yard sale mower. :anonymous:

That is the point of the story, have a good laugh.

I pretty much shook my head and laughed about it -- if this is the worst thing that happens to me I'm good.

I got this tractor at a yard sale for $100 to fix up and save me time and effort by not needing to trailer my ZT home. It runs and drives great but I have now spent a fortune on the cutter deck -- all so I can save time and effort...

I always try to keep in mind there are other folks with much bigger problems out there.

That's a rough day. The wildlife is really teaming this summer. I have 2 yellow jacket nests in just my back yard.

Hey guys. So a quick update for anyone that was curious...The truck is at the dealer. They do not have the skid plate in stock. It would take about 2 days to get it. But it's $400 for the part and $130 to put on. So that is a no-go for me. I'll just shop around for it and get the best price (I saw places had them for like $340) and just install on my own, I guess.

When I ordered mine I told my dealership that I could get the part at the dealership down the road for $340 and asked if they wanted to match the price. They were happy to match the price and get the sale. Never hurts to ask.

edit: I actually feel a bit bad at times because every part I’ve ordered, I am always asking my local dealership (Brewer Airport Toyota) to price match the competition and every single time they have done it. On the flip side, I’m cheap and hate paying inflated prices, so I don’t feel that bad about it all.

South Hills. They are pretty cool but I guess I was just hoping to be all in at $400, if they did charge me any labor. I don't want to drop $530.

That's actually really cool though. I'll talk to the guy when I go pick it up. I'd buy it off of them at $340 and just install myself. So I'll screenshot some places that have it cheaper and see what he says. Thanks for input.

I think there probably are some good aftermarket ones that would work. I'll be totally honest, the coloring and the red letters I think accents my truck a lot, which is part of why I want it lol. I don't wheel hard, so even the stock one is probably fine but you know how it is.

I would see if you can get an email address for the parts guy at your dealership if possible as well. I email the parts guy at my dealership on everything I order for two reasons. First off I hate talking to people on the phone or in person (I know I’m weird, my wife believes I’m mildly autistic because of that and one sensory issue I have with cotton balls ), but I also like to get everything in writing so there are no questions when I go to pick up the part.
Just some additional food for thought there.
