    some of my picks:

Simple Man-Shinedown, originally by Lynyrd- both are excellent versions. Not sure which I like better actually.

Voodoo Child-SRV, originally by Hendrix- Another tossup, I really like the vocals on the hendrix version and I dont think SRV can match that...But the instrumentals are awesome on the SRV version.

One of my favorite songs that I HAVE to turn up when I hear it- One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer- George Thorogood, originally by Johnny Lee Hooker

Heart Shaped Box-Evanescene, originally by Nirvana. I really like the Acoustical Version of this song. I don't like what sounds like backup singers or a trumpet playing during the "hey wait" parts of the song. Great cover that is pretty much completely different than the original.

American Woman- Lenny Kravitz, originally done by The Who. I really like the originally, but the Kravitz version has me rocking more. Video is way hotter too :D

OK, a couple more- I have done nothing today!

Turn The Page- Metallica, originally by Bob Seger. One hell of a video, very moving

Big Yellow Taxi- Some chick, originally by Joni Mitchell. I hate the counting crows version but came across this one while searching on you tube. I like the Original one too.

Cocain- Eric Clapton, originally by jj cale

Susie Q- CCR, originally by Dale Hawkins.
I can't find the original, but the CCR is pretty good. I love the guitar/bass lines in the song and imo, one of the best songs performed live.

Tuesdays Gone- Metallica, originally by Lynryd. Meticallica is one of my favorite bands, this is a pretty cool cover. Not my favorite, but sounds pretty good considering the music they play

Whisky in a jar- Metallica, by thin lizzy and dubliners previously
