You guys get a full size spare worth your truck? I have 17’s with 265/65/17 and the spare is a 16 worth a 245/75/16

I got a 265/65/17 spare with the same Toyo A30 tire tire as the rest that came with it.

That's weird. Since it is the same diameter (or close enough), it's no big deal. The cost cutting over the years has been interesting. Folks keep asking for more features though. I guess that is what happens.

I have my unused 265/65R17 available, but we're not close. Hahaha!

That's correct. The spare is a 16" steel wheel with a "temporary use" tire that has an external diameter more-or-less matching the service tires.

I replaced the issued spare with a wheel/tire combination that's an exact clone of the service wheels/tires. This cost me nearly $500, including nearly $100 for the TPMS sensor. (Although the system can only read 4 sensors at a time.) I plan to rotate all 5 tires.

I got over most of the spare tire hate when the doughnut spares on cars happened. Interestingly, a couple of our previous cars did come with a matching tire on a steelie.

Of course, we have only had a three punctures in 25yrs and only had to mount up a spare once.

Another thing I should mention is that when you spend $500 on a true full-size (matching) spare, it seems a shame to carry it underneath the truck, exposed to all the road debris (as well as the chance of being stolen). It now rides in the bed, protected by the camper shell.

Damn, I should sell my OEM wheels to 4 peeps as "spares" for half that.

On my 2021 SR5 I do have the same tire size (245/75/16), however the spare is a Toyo and all 4 are Firestone. Always found that weird, not as weird as your sport at least. Makes me feel better.

I just had to check- matching brand and size 265/65/17

Maybe they stopped at a certain yr for sports (after 18’) since that’s the only model 17s. What about limited? Don’t they stock 18s

My 2021 has all 265/65/17 tires but the 4 on the ground are Toyo and the spare is a Hankook. Doesn't bother me because I truly only use my spare as a spare. It's on just long enough to get the original repaired or replaced.

My Silverado was like the OP's set up, smaller wheel with a taller tire resulting in the same total diameter. The OP's 265/65/17 is 30.56 in dia. and the 245/75/16 is 30.47 in dia. Functionally the same.

Center console divider thingy, rubber bed mat and side steps for the wife.
My 17 sport has 4 Toyo and the spare is the Firestone that some trucks got, all same size though, pretty random.

Had to go out and look, thought it was the same rim size.

I was wrong it is a 16in rim.

Good thing I only use it as a spare and wasn't planning on rotating it in.
