    Hello TW crew.

My company wants me to relocated to the Jackson area, but it would require me fiancé leaving her job. She is working in retail but has a BA in Biology and an interest in Veterinary.

    Anyone have any leads?

Veterinary School is very difficult for acceptance. Your fiancé should start building animal-related experience before considering applying

I'm in Arkansas, not Mississippi, but I would suggest her look at jobs at the zoo, admin related jobs at veterinary clinics, or the state conservation agency.

    Connor,
I live in Brandon just 12 miles east of Jackson. Brandon is a very safe, family oriented environment because of our very tough-on-crime LE & judicial systems. The above post is factual. Jackson is out of control much like Chicago. Drug abuse is rampant in Jackson. And the abuse of both illegal drugs and alcohol fuels the criminal violence. I have watched illegal drugs change hands at Jackson gas stations in broad daylight. Jackson after dark is lethal so the good folks mostly stay home at night behind locked doors. Sometimes even that is not enough. If you live or work in Jackson, you (and yours) can expect to become a statistic of the violence in that area. It's just a matter of time. In more than a year now, I have yet to see a Saturday night go by without at least one murder in Jackson along with several other non-fatal shootings. Shootings and even multiple shootings have been an everyday event for several years now. And it is getting worse, not better. The criminals in Jackson will kill you for even the slightest perceived transgression. Honking your horn at them on the Interstate can and has resulted in shootings, even deaths. Cops are getting shot at on a very regular basis. Jackson is best viewed as a war zone, I kid you not. .02
