I had the exact same thing happen to me about 2 weeks ago. No place has the slip yoke in stock and the dealer wanted $1k for a new driveshaft. Honestly your best bet is a driveline shop. I had a new spline welded on and a new yoke attached and the whole thing balanced for about $450.

I ordered one from EB parts for $655. They are annoying now where they don't do pick up anymore. I'm only about 15 minutes from their shop but expedited shipping is an extra $150. With tax I'm in about $850. Its crazy but I don't really have any other option except to waste money on a rental car. Maybe I'll see if I can get someone to repair the old shaft and sell it to recoup some money.

The track is Thule, all the components are Yakima

    I am in Worcester Ma.
If you don't want the rack system, I'll gladly remove it and use it on my new cap.
But you will have some holes you will need to repair.

Toyota of Nashua has a similar shipping cost, but no tax. I miss EB pickup, I bought a ton of parts there.

Not sure if there is any interest on theses wheels tires definitely need to be replaced, not sure what they’re worth? Trim rings are powered coated white. Still undecided if I want to sell taken off this morning.

If the rims are immaculate like they look like they are you could probably get about $1500.00 to $2000.00

I asked if I could pick it up instead of waiting a couple days for shipping and they let me pick it up yesterday and I installed it last night. The shaft looks like the exact same dana/spicer one that I originally had but the new u-joints don't have grease fittings. What's the logic behind that? Save a few pennies?

I think certain models may have sealed non greasable u joints, at least my first gen 2wd did. I thought all the 4x4’s were greasable tho

Yeah, they changed it to sealed ujoints. They are proven better for those that don't grease on the reg. But to answer, yeah they save a buck.
You could tap in a zerk fitting if you want.?

They are getting good money these days. Should have bought a set when I had the chance. If you do decide to sell I may be interested. Depending price. Let me know

I would let them sit in the boxes. In a few years you'll have retro wheels or a pocket full of cash.
