Opinions on chase lights on roof rack?

    Long story short, got a little lost at Bald Mountain, luckily someone was up there to lead us down. He had strobe lights mounted to his bed rack that made a world of a difference following him through the dust down the mountain.

    Really made me realize how useful they are when trailing with friends, however I have a softopper on my bed and was wondering if anyone has mounted it on their roof rack or any experience with the matter.

    Any input is greatly appreciated!
