I'm on the fence on which colour Bestopper/Softopper to put on my Quicksand Taco.

Pick either Tan or Black that "you'd put on" the Quicksand Tacoma

I cant wait to hear your comments.... :bananadead:

    Your truck, your choice.

My choice would be no topper. It limits bed usage.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
    ^^- This.
I put a cap on mine. Don't care what others may think. Don't much care what you do with yours. As @Knute says, your truck - your choice. You get to look at it every day, I don't.

If I had a Quicksand colored truck (which I don't) and if I wanted to add a soft topper (which I never would), I would go with the black one.

How does a softopper limit usage?

Tan! -BUT- know that you'll have to give it a good scrub 1-2 times a year with some RaggTopp.

    This and that...
I always prefer black but the tan will show less dirt. You may want to see a picture of a black one under better lighting conditions. And Softopper is the obvious choice.

Think some are confused that you want them to make the decision for you. Sounds like you are looking to tip the scales one way or the other. A pros or cons one might say. I for one used the hell out of my topper in the winter and summer and took about 15 min to take off minus the rails that I just left on. Also knew not to leave anything of value in the back depending on location, best judgement. Loved the rolled up option on the sides.

Black IMO - contrast works well especially with your black fender flares & accents since you've got an OR

Black works well, and I've used my hard topper loads, I guess it all depends on what you use it for.

i actually like the grey best on quicksand. i think it looks light, clean and adds visual interest. id put black second, nice contrast, standard, can't go wrong. tan, for me, is just too much tan and that they almost match but don't gets. but in person might be different than digital pic. good luck deciding, i have cement and went tan and like it.

It doesn't if you don't actually haul anything tall, bulky or heavy. If your usage is throwing some camping gear in the back and maybe a few bags of mulch once or twice a year, no problem. If you often load bikes, move furniture or cut and load firewood it's probably gonna suck.

The OP's question is an example of a typical TW request for help...ignore the question and condemn the condition/action of the originator.

I don’t have one, but they do easily fold down/back up in just a minute or two with one person right? So having the option of keeping loads dry and also being able to fold it down and being able to move tall loads or pack it full with firewood sounds like the best of both worlds to me. Maybe I’m missing something. But I just ordered one so I hope this is the case.

I'm sure some of the designs do fold away.

That is the potential problem is in my opinion. A bunch of flimsy thin wall tubes, rivets and hinges that are just a minor impact or seized pivot away from failure. A soft topper is a compromise, only the end user is qualified to decide if that compromise is the right choice.

Still taking votes? Tan if you're putting a black cage rack over it. Black if leaving it as is.
