2021 Sport USB File Access While Driving?

So I recently took delivery of a 2021 TRD Sport. Thought it would be largely like the 2017, but I've recently come to hate the fact I can't scan through the contents of USB drive while the truck is moving.

I'm using the same drive I had in the 2017, and yes, my own file organization on that drive isn't the best, but in the 2021 I can't even scroll through folders unless I'm at a stop-light. Not much use to me on those 3 hour hauls out to a camping trip.

Not enough to make me regret the new truck, but bloody hell...

Anyone know of a workaround? Am I doing something wrong?

 

dump the music on your phone and use carplay/android auto

 

While I don't access any USB files while I drive, I think that I could if I tried. I installed the anytime backup camera bypass harness from anytimebackupcamera.com, which allows me to bypass the vehicle in motion lock feature.

Why? Because I wasn't paying attention, sorry guys. And yes, life is rough. What with a new truck with about 1,500k on the meter...
