Do you like the height of the "bench"? I was going to build one at a lower height to possibly be able to sit in there with the top down..

Thought I'd say hi to the thread now that this happened:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/zs-approach-utility-build.464628/page-10#post-26233938
And now that I've got the main component, here are some things I will be working on next... as soon as i can get through all 84 pages of posts! LOL... Will be perusing for things along these lines:
    • Dust control. I just need to knock it down by 90% and I'll be so much happier. Thank you @Crom for this reference post...
    • Locking tailgate mod. (Popnlock?)
    • Backup camera
    • More Driving Lights. Thinking Baja Designs 30" bar on the front of the camper?
    • Lighting/power in the shell and tent... found this vendor for DIY: Heraco. Anyone heard of em? Red/White, Dimmable, IP65...
    • Ham Antenna re-rout.
    • And grab handles. I am so short i can barely reach the top of the tent.

Cuuute! It's nice when things fit like that. Did you shim it to get it level or is it close enuf just sitting on the bottom of that tray?

It seemed close enough. I've had it there for over a year and my experience in the camper indicates that it's close enough.

Also - GFC's new website redesign is cool. They are also saying that campers that are ordered now will have a completion date of Feb 2022 (4 month lead time). Impressive...

I understand they are producing 40 units a week! I picked mine up in August. It was impressive to see the operation. Install took all of 15 min. It feels good to be supporting a company that is doing such good work. I know there have been some complaints about lead times and communication, but I believe it is truly impressive that they're doing as well as they are, given how new a company they are how fast they are growing. Took ours out last weekend for the first real use-test (read: the wife test) and all smiles here. it is truly remarkable how fast you can close it up compared to any other RTT i've seen/used.

ah you’re the guy I was talking to in the fb group. I ended up deciding my spare tire will ruin the view from up there and just relocated my oem camera.
