Ss3 is 220 which is over 100 for the oem. I already have the LED kit, so don't really want to spend more. Thanks for the input!

I would wait till ss3s go on sale. I just upgraded from oem. I should have done it sooner.

No thanks. Don't like the looks and foglights aren't necessary for me. No reason to spend almost double for something that doesn't affect my drive.

Did you replace the OEM on the 12-15 using the existing hardware or did you need new hardware? I have the stock halogen ones and a set of these is cheaper than just one of the original halogen (one is taking in water)

They are a direct replacement. There's only 2 bolts that hold them in so you re-use the bolts.

Just curious, are these for the 2005-2011 Tacomas, what is the discrepancy?
And someone mentioned “black bezel version,” i know fogs fit within a bezel, at least on the 12/15 tacos, outside of that is there something else I’m missing?

I may be wrong, but I think the older 2g have larger foglights.

You're not wrong. Gen2 and Gen2.5 foglights are completely different.

I believe they are made in China. There are some Toyota dealers on ebay that show they are made I china.

SS3 output is significantly better than OEM. Enough that I rarely use my high beams at night.

Your foglights shouldn't be pointed high enough that you wouldn't need high beams for driving. Ss3 are ugly and I didn't see the point in buying something that cost 2x as much for something that I find ugly. I also have led headlights which are plenty bright.

They are not pointed high enough for driving, they are just that much better than stock. Some of us prefer performance over looks.

Don't know if they fit 3rd gen. They fit other models of Toyota though. Rav4 and highlander I believe. You just need to look up a 3rd gen part number and see if it matches.

I run them on my Tundra. Better than the halogen but nothing to brag about. I found an almost new set for $80. I'd say they are worth it for the price.
