So the driver side upper control arm is bent and the long bolt snapped/sheered off. It's stuck in the shock tower and I can't get it out. I tried putting PB blaster and tried an air hammer to take out the bolt but no luck. I was thinking using MAPP gas to torch it and hammer it out again. Any suggestions? Images don't really show much but I sawzalled the bolt off because I didn't think the UCA was bent and thought I'd have better view at it. The third image where it shows the lower part (where the bolt snapped) it's about an inch in the shock tower

Weld a nut on the part that's sticking out the front. Have a buddy turn that CCW with a ratchet while someone hits it out using a sledge, air hammer, or punch from the other side.

Looking a little closer, I don't know how your UCA got bent, but it also looks like the shock tower itself might be tweaked?

If this is the case, might be tough getting a new bolt in there if that area is no longer true. If that's the case, you may be stuck cutting the old shock tower off and welding in a new one. But I'd try my hardest to straighten that in place before I went that far.

So that shock tower I tried prying it out with a crowbar while someone was hammer it and I noticed that part of the shock tower was bending a little due to the pressure. If nothing will work I might just put a straight axle

Damn never heard of breaking the UCA bolt before. How did it get bent? That's a big ass bolt to have bend/break

I know right I never seen a bolt like that break. I went off roading but it wasnt bumpy nor did I go fast. I have no idea how it happened but it did.

Yea bro how tf did this happen? You would have to have some type of insane leverage against the bolt, or some machine power to do that. Unless you hit a whoop section a little too hard.
Goes to say, that shock tower definitely looks a bit bent. Might be a problem worth getting checked out at a trusted mechanic.

No clue how it happened. I wasn't going fast when I went off roading nor did I hit a bump.

I got it from an auction but the truck was rear ended. I had alignment done by the dealer after it was fixed I'd think they would tell me if it looked bad.

Those upper control arm bolts are historically hard to get out, especially on a 2009 where there is probably some rust. At least you got the UPA out of the spindle. The shock tower does not look bent on both sides, probably is not the problem at this point. Try using short to longer and longer punches as mentioned, then use new bolt to drive out the old one - MAPP is to hot and sometimes simpler is better.

Alright thanks for your help I was able to replace it. Everything is fine. I used an oxy and acetylene torch and air hammer. Came out easily. Good thing I had my fire extinguisher on hand because there was a small little flame starting up on one of the loose wires there

Glad to hear you got this fixed and hope the slight fire damage is easily repairable.

Yeah it is. I just have the ABS light on so I think it's just of that damage so I'll maybe replace the wire or just leave it how it is. Thanks for the help I appreciate it
