I likely have these at or slightly above 3" of lift to level with my shackle flip. The driver side is a little past max preload and the passenger side is at max preload. The ride has still been amazing compared to OME 886s their shocks.

I consider but I wouldn't lol not with winters/salt. They're notorious to rust.

 

TBH I only had the fronts on since January last year and I don't drive the truck in the winter unless it's to go snow wheeling. I also liberally fluid film all my shit, including the shocks so hard to say. Rears have been on since June 2019 with similar care/results.

 

Thanks for the info! I also don't drive my truck in the snow. Mainly for the salt, but the STT pros aren't that good on ice, but are good in deep snow.

traded the xxrs for enkei rpf1's 18x7.5 48et and bridgestone potenza 215/45/18, ran this with 15 mm spacers in the rear, 5 in the front.

So yeah, nothing I have is stock and I'm glad I got into modifying this Mazda6. It helped guide me into engineering and ultimately what I do for a living now!

 

Toy tech makes a very good coil over for the 2nd gen.

Update since it’s been a while!

Got a 3D printer to keep developing products for Squareone Creations







Also I upgraded the springs to stiffer springs from the jump. stock springs are garbage and my golf buddy had a bunch extra.

Decent success with 3DBenchy. My X axis was a little loose so that was an easy fix.



spent a bunch of time leveling the bed and repeating this torture test while waiting for another part for the printer to arrive



After some successful and spaghetti prints my BLTouch arrived. It probes the bed and adjusts the code for whatever the tilt of the bed is automatically. This has saved me sooooo much time since installation. Worth the $10 easily since it came from the bundle.

I did this to prep for water cooling the workstation over the winter.

I’ve printed a bunch of stuff so far, upgrades for the printer, useful stuff for around the house. I’m printing daily to keep learning before I make the jump to ABS and can print useable parts for Automotive use!

I'm at 230k and that was back in 2017 at 177k...

Debating if I want to just take them off to refinish and get some plates added to the top a la @Chux as our GSD is getting older and is starting to require help getting into the back.

 

Worth it.

 

I was saving it as a project in a bigger garage after we buy a house and a great opportunity to learn to weld but that's looking like it'll be at least a year with the housing market being trash.

A house we looked at 9 months ago was sold for $293k and is back on the market right now for $350k. And I know they'll get it and unless that house had a ton of upgrades it's not even worth the $293k lol

 

I bought my house for $246k. Neighbor just sold theirs very similar to mine, but I have a much bigger lot...629k...it is ubsurd!!!!

 

Yeah I'm not exactly stoked with how the market is, but Hopefully we get a nice market correction soon

 

I think it is inevitable. It can't sustain what it has been doing long term.

Other than that it's been sitting while the new DD gets all the mileage due to mpg and turbo noises haha
