Selling the truck to carmax, carvana, any of them, and I’m wondering how much I should remove or fix. For starters I have a golf ball size dent on the door (hit a rock). Would fixing the dent increase the resale value? I only ask because I’ve had a ton of people tell me they don’t care which doesn’t make a ton of sense?

also, I have a set of sliders (0 degrees) so they almost look like running boards. Figured “running boards” could increase the value but frankly I’m not sure if it’s worth keeping the sliders on or selling them aftermarket.

I’ve heard from a few people that they’ll get a value estimation then remove a few things and still get the same value quoted. Just looking for some opinions on what to keep or remove.

Take the sliders and anything else aftermarket off and sell it separately. I doubt they care much about the dent. When I went to sell to them in 2019 I sent a few emails asking about aftermarket items, etc and they couldn’t care less. The vehicle just gets sold to next buyer as-is regarding any aftermarket kit, and Carvana wipes their hands of it and will say they have no knowledge of the add ons installed.

Sweet, thank you. Wish I could remove my HC rear bumper but that’s a permanent mod

I would’ve thought they’d care more about the body damage but so many people tell me they don’t.
