With my current forward lights, I did them a little different. I didn't use the DPDT before, I never really had a need to have the lights on without the high beams. This time, the forward lights are either off or on with the high beams. I wired the 'trigger' wire through a switch under the hood. When the switch is on, the lights cycle with the high beams. Switch off, they just stay dead and the high beams cycle as they should. For the rear facing lights, that's a different story but, I really wanted rear lights for backing in the camper. The camera I just installed on the camper has night vision which is absolutely awesome and I might not end up doing rear lights now. I don't off road like you guys so my normal tail lights are sufficient most of the time, backing in the camper at night was tough because I just couldn't see anything, just the trailer disappearing into darkness.

I off road but my stock rear lights are good enough. That's a LONG term MAYBE for me. I don't do a lot of night wheeling, the extent of backing up at night is into a camp site.

It's dark up here in the country. Being able to see whenever I back into a spot has been difficult with the stock lights - tapping the brakes gets me more light that the factory lamps. These will help immensely when I'm backing into spots in the woods at 3am to go hunting.

I bet. I may just go to a LED reverse light for a little more 'umph' and call it a day. I love the reverse day lighters though!

Can anyone provide a status update on the RI wheeling spot? Need to get the Jeep out on a trail for a shakedown run.

^^^^ I DO have the Meso stage 1 tails which bring led reverse lights, that has been a bit of an added benefit. Stock was mediocre. If I had a steel bumper I'd put pods in just because I can, but as it is, I'm happy with what I've got.

Reminds me though I need to replace my license plate light --- again. Gotta go order that now.

I haven't heard anything since early summer on it but I haven't put in a lot of facebook time. I didn't go at all this year. I saw a mixed bag, some people going no problem (mid day on a Thursday) and rumors of other being arrested (weekends).

I'd say if you're going to go, try mid day mid week, unlikely to run into anyone there. And let me know how it goes. Maybe come in from the scout camp, I think that's the furthest away from the power lines.

Weekdays are unfortunately a total no-go for me, would have to be a Sunday. Maybe some of us can scout it out this fall.

I recently replaced my OEM backup bulbs with these Diode Dynamics XPR LED's.
In the photo, the left side is new DD bulbs and the right side is factory bulb.
Even in daytime, the difference is significant and at night it is amazing!
Cheaper than total replacement of taillight fixture and piece of cake install. Just pop out the old bulb, pop in the new.

Guys I've been watching a bunch of videos on the new Tundra and I want one lol. Can't wait to see the rest of the specs released, be able to use the online builder, and hopefully see a new sequoia

I'm worried about you... The more I see about it, it seems like they're just following suit of the 'big 3', small twin turbo V6, coil rear suspension instead of links, finally went to aluminum for the body although they kept the composite bed, U-G-L-Y and lots of plasticy shit on the outside. The interior is interesting and could grow on me, looks comfy and a mix between Chevy and Tonka truck. I think they're making a mistake completely retiring the 5.7. It was a gas hog but it was a hoss of an engine.

By all means I like the current gen but based on all I'm learning it'd be a great daily and family hauler. I'm at the point in life where the tacoma will always be the play thing but I need a great family hauler daily that will essentially remain stock. And with what I'm seeing for the Tundra, it would be better off left untouched.

Wait a minute, I've been lied to. I'd been told across the board, even with tow package, capacity ranged from 35-4500. But then just seeing something a 4x4 with tow package gets you to ~6500. My life has been a lie.
