I’m actually still waiting on the upTOP rack so I don’t have any pics. But it should be in by the end of the month. I’ll definitely share pics when that comes in!

Any good suggestions for the best flag mount for a Diamondback? Felt like I needed one today.

Pretty disappointed…we got our first significant amount of rain this weekend and my diamondback cover leaked quite a bit. I live in the PNW and we have had a particularly dry year, but it will rain often now that it is Fall. I was trying to identify the source of the leak and I think it may be from a certain spot on the bed rail covers. The water came in only on one side on one of the rear panels. The water was in between the wheel well and the tailgate inside the bed. I had a tarp in the truck bed so the water pooled and it made it easier to pinpoint where it came from. Any mods anyone can suggest to minimize leaks? I know it won’t ever be completely waterproof but I don’t want that much water getting in all Fall and Winter

DIY'd some LEDs for the Diamondback a few weeks back. Finally installed them last weekend.

Some LED strips I placed in an aluminum channel with a plastic diffusing panel powered by 3 AA batteries. For now this does what I need. Down the road I may consider hard wiring if I feel the need.
    IMG_20210815_170531.jpg

Used 3M tape to adhere to the underside of the bed cover.

Some shots in the dark. It looks more blue on camera than in person. I used bright white LEDS.

I did install these things when we installed the cover. The leak is where the gasket on the cover meets the uneven surface of truck bed rail cover

Bummer, I guess every truck/cover is gonna be different because mine doesn’t do that. I can’t remember what thread it was in but I remember someone posting pictures where he took the plastic caps off and put tape underneath, maybe that would help?

I have a set of side ride bike mounts for the 2016+ diamondback covers for sale 145 per side. They were never mounted. I would like to sell locally but will ship at the buyer's expense. These things are heavy though.

I got the old version without the cleats and wanted to add some tie down anchor points to carry stuff on top but I also wanted some that were more low profile. This is what I came up with. Just had to drill 4 holes for the bolts on each of the anchor point. These are probably not as heavy duty as the ones from diamondback but since mine is not the HD version, I'm just going to haul fairly light loads on top anyways.

My upTOP rack came in a couple days ago. Installed it then went to the sand dunes to test it out.
I really enjoy the setup, feels super solid. If I had to complain about 1 thing it would just be that the mounting rail for the tent does not reach the last load bar, so I installed the tent closer to the cab and there is a little bit of overhang between the 3rd and 4th load bars.

Here are some pics. Let me know if you need other angles and I can take more.

That upTop rack looks great, i wish they would sell just 4 towers and cross bars that can be adjusted. I'm still looking for a rack to put on top of my Diamondback that's aluminum. The Frontrunner version is meh.
