Your truck came with LED headlights and for that reason you are so very very happy because they are wonderful.

But, your truck came with LED headlights and that puts you at a disadvantage for stealing the DRL signal for use with grille lights or MESO v5 switchback mirror turn signals.

This harness is a time portal for your truck, to get back to a simpler time when signals could be stolen easily.

    Ordering:
    LED T Harness
MESO v5 Mirror Switchback T Harness

If you want a switch-pros trigger off the high beam signal or turn signal feeds, please DM me for now so we can discuss your specific needs.

For grille lights the diode module combines parking light and DRL signals to a constant ON whenever the stalk is not OFF

    FAQ

    1. What are the differences between the connectors?
      1. The Yazaki DRL connector is what comes on a halogen equipped truck. I would recommend going with the OEM layout if you're going this route which has parking lights, DRL and ground. Then you have one open spot for something custom like a high beam trigger for Switch-Pros. Using this approach you could add any halogen T tap such as the R4T grille light harness. The AMP connector is an aftermarket standard and allows for more flexibility with number of positions (they come in 1-6 position variants). I have 2, 3 and 4 in stock and can order 1, 5 and 6 if someone wants.
    2. Seems like the amp connection may be more weatherproof?
      1. Both are waterproof connectors using sealed terminals. The Yazaki is OEM spec and therefore meets all of Toyota's standards. AMP connectors are rather commonplace as well but are not OEM spec.
    3. I assume you are including the other side of the connector as well?
      1. Yes, I just updated the photos to indicate both sides are included. Note the Yazaki will be a male supply to female receive while the AMP will be female supply to male receive. The OEM DRL connector is a bit "backwards" from normal as most OEM connectors are female on the harness side and male on the bulb end.
    4. Could you wire it up for the v5 switchbacks for me?
      1. Not at this time, no.
    5. Do I just need one and then split it inside the cab?
      1. That is my thought for v5 but I don't have mine yet so I'm not quite sure. I have MESO puddles and I may go with an injector into the Y to the puddles or I may just custom build my own 5 pin harness through the door boots. I haven't decided yet and I'm waiting to evaluate the product myself.
    6. Do I need to run one from each headlight?
      1. If you want to do something fun with turn signals, you'd need 2 of these, one for each side. Otherwise there is no benefit to having 2 vs 1 and one drawback is running wire through the firewall on both sides or across the firewall. I will therefore use the driver's side wire color scheme because I like matchy matchy stuff. If you order two, I'll do one in each color scheme if I have the proper colors.
    7. So, the v5 switchbacks have red (high input) and white (low input). Would I run red to drl and white to parking?
      1. I think so but I haven't received mine yet so I don't know for certain. Mostly this is a question for MESO but I think this is the correct plan.

What's your suggestion for wires to tap? DRL and parking lights?

And it appears I'm actually out of the MX-150 male connectors at the moment and I didn't already place the order I thought I had placed. Soooooo, TLDR, still totally game for doing these but please give me a little bit of time to order and receive parts. Also, whenever MESO has an option, please buy his stuff.

By a little bit of time I mean I should be able to ship early next week. This connector supplier is on my BFF list.

OK, order placed for the males. It's always the males. I should have plenty of stock if anyone desires a T.

And if I ever actually get caught up on crimping, I intend to set up a legit storefront. I know I haven't done that yet. I actually do prefer to manage via google form, but I'm a bit of an odd bird that way.

So if I have a 2020 w/ LED's and want to run the V5's and have a future for raptor lights, is it possible to do that from 1 connector or do I need to do 2 and the V5's to one headlight and the raptor lights to the other?

I could add an option for grille lights plus v5’s. That’s what @ktbell444 effectively has.

I'm confused! Whats this high/low on the drl's, they have two settings? Or is it drl/parking?
Do I need the tap with just drl or drl & parking?
Does it include just the other side of the connector or the harness shown in your last post?

    I guess I'm saying...tell me what I need &

Yeah, I'm working through my first sets right now. I will get a photo of the basic v5 setup for the masses. There are kind of two variants, with grille lights and without. That's sort of the cliffs notes, amp connector, drl and park, I give you a pigtail for v5 you have to shove through the firewall and then it's just a question of do you want little lights in your grille or not.

Too many choices, very not costco-ish.
