Good morning everyone. Does anyone know if putting a lift on a TRD Sport affects the “sport suspension” system? And can I go with 285/70/17 with the lift without any rubbing? Thanks.

Welcome. I recommend searching around the forums. We have hundreds of threads of fitting tires and lifting trucks.

It all depends on your choices.
Check out the link in my Sig. Some good information for starters there!

Lift = change in suspension.. so technically yes? Then you gotta figure out what kind of lift you want etc

You also won't be able to fit 285/70/17 tires without a bunch of changes. UCA's, lift, aftermarket market wheels with 0 or negative offset, possibly cab mount chop.

In general, I would say that the stock suspension is somewhat okay, while it lasts. With a bit of wheeling, my suspension was toast before 50k. Lots of control was lost on road and off.

With a good aftermarket setup, I would say that handling and cornering limits are better than the factory setup.

    I am running:
    -- Stock front coils
-- Icon RXT Option 1 leaf packs
    -- Standard 5100s front (4th perch left / 3rd perch right)
    -- Extended travel 5100s rear
-- 1.5in lift over stock while maintaining a 1.5in rake
    -- Sway bar delete
    -- 265/70R17 SL AT tires

Anything more than a 2/1" lift will change your system dramatically.

That's what i went with. Modest. Smooth ride. And paired it with trd sema pro wheels and 275/0/17 wildpeak at3w. Exactly what I wanted and no rub whatsoever. And drives smooth as butter
