I’ve put a number of cd’s onto a flash drive using iTunes and love the convenience and space saving. One cd has me baffled. It plays the songs in reverse order no matter what I do. I’ve manually entered them one at a time; manually entered them in reverse order; numbered the files in reverse order. No matter what ai do, it won’t play in the order of the cd.
    Any suggestions?

yes. Bands record an album in a specific order to convey a story or concept.

When you numbered, you did pad the single digits with a zero, I assume?

Not that I know that will help….just a thought

What CD is it? Don’t some cds have tracks that sort of overlap? That might make it wonky.

I don't think I've had the issue downloading from the computer (my entire CD collection), but for whatever reason downloaded to one of my MP3 players, I know what you mean.
Especially if it's something I listened to decades ago on a vinyl or CD and expect them in a certain order.

I had this issue with some Marillion albums. I found I had to change the name numbering of the tracks and put them in reverse.

Have you tried ripping it again? I don't use I-tunes but if ripped from a CD there should also be a .cue file. That's got all the metadata for the album, which includes track order. You could manually edit that if it's wrong.

    Oh look, another mod....
There's a program that I use called: MP3Tag (it's totally free). I've been using it for years. It allows you to name/rename and add all kinds of details to the mp3's on your USB drive. You can EVEN highlight all the songs, and number them!

Whenever I have a new song that I want to add to my mini usb, I use this. Hope this helps!

So um… you old enough to have spent hours laboring over the order of songs on your mix tape? Maybe after listening a few times you went back and made improvements too?

    Asking for a friend.

Did you ever solve this issue?
I could the numbering, there are the track numbers in the song title but there's a second set in the file properties, you'd have to individually check and change each one. I know, I do this for all my music because I'm particular about it.

It could also be iTunes, they are funny about their files, I've had to convert the file format before to get them to work how I wanted.

That's all a bit complex and certainly bothersome.

I'm curious if it'll work for you this way, I've attached Sides A & B as zip files. It should download when you click on each one. Then just right click and select "Extract All" and it'll pull it out of the zip file. Here's a video on that if you need it.
