Back end submerged, should I be worried?

    I actually would prefer to drain it now instead of later. Water and metal creates rust is my train of thought. It takes like 2 minutes to drain.

    curious to know how the gear oil looked from your rear diff. I can’t imagine you didn’t have any water in there but I’m so happy to find you took the measure to change it rather quickly.

    I think it wasnt too bad. Here's a shot if the oil after draining it. I haven't had any issues with the truck at all since this happened.

    Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, Front Bed Rail Cargo Net and hooks, Auto-Dim mirror w/Compass and outside Temperature display, TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification, WeatherTech floor liners f/r. OEM All-Weather floor mats (summer).
    You dodged a big bullet. Glad you made out OK. Smart move to take the entire interior out to get everything dry. It only takes a few days for the mold and mildew to set in and then you'd have had the the stink forever, and prob electrical gremlins setting in too. Lucky it's not winter yet. (if you have winter where you are)

    Don't do that no more. :thumbsup:
