I accidentally blew my 7.5amp dome fuse when swapping out my led interior lights, is there any problem with just replacing it with a 10 amp. Also can someone please send me a link for a new 7.5 amp fuse that will fit my 2013 tacoma

How close are you to an auto parts store? Get one there.

Otherwise get on Amazon and get you a small assortment, as you should have one of each in your garage anyway.

Not that swapping a 10 for a 7.5 is a huge deal, but you really shouldnt mismatch fuses as a general rule. Its a good way to trash something on the circuit that isnt a fuse.

I bought 7.5 amp fuses from my local auto store but they dont fit, is there a specific name for the ones that fit in the tacoma fuse box?

Do you have another 7.5amp fuse you can take into the parts store to compare?

Edit: Not sure what it looks like, but maybe this will help?

There are only a few commonly used sizes of fuses. Dont take this as gospel but I think the Tacomas use the mini low-pro size. Use the old fuse to compare, to be sure.

Buy a size/type/amp fuse assortment from “Amazon”. It is not recommended to change the recommended value of a fuse.

You should never substitute a larger fuse for temporary or permanent use.

The only loads on the DOME Fuse are the Clock, Interior Light and Wireless Door Lock Control. You could probably live without it for a while.

Come on Man, just drive to the auto parts store in the day light, that way the Boogie Man won't get you.

If the fuse blew due to overload, going bigger is the worse route you can take.
