I think I will only use 1/2 Gallon on each but I might end up using 1.5 - 2 gal. Total.

Good call on the spray cans.$10 @ Home Depot.

I need to find out if our city is having trick or treating on Halloween or the week before. Either way I think it starts at 4-5pm

@BookieBob 1/2 gallon each will be pretty thick. If anyone works on your vehicles, they will hate you

And probably tell you that everything on your truck is broken and leaking fluid

Yeah.. i did 2 vehicles with a quart of woolwax.. more than enough for me.

I could see doing it thicker the first time plus inside doors and stuff, but you dont need to go crazy.

Yeah the 3m rustproofing I used back in the day only took 1qt maybe 1.5qts and did doors.

I planned on the doors. Just wasn’t sure how easy it was to apply and how thick it will be. The 1st 45 seconds when I have the pressure too low! I’ll know!!’
    Lol

    thanks !!!

Fact! The Dealer replaced both rear shocks and a front strut on mine because they were "leaking" when I complained about the rear springs squeaking and asked about the TSB.

For the record the springs stopped squeaking after I cleaned them ahead of the new shocks being put on.

I echo the Woolwax preference - thicker, less odor, and it's black in color

I would figure a bit closer to a gallon for the first time just getting into all the nooks and crannies.

I think I used 6-7 spray cans when I first did mine. Not really the economical way to do it.

I ordered a spray gun with 2 nozzles:

I lower mine every year and usually spray it with lithium grease. I had a work truck that wouldn’t break loose in Montana in 2010 and couldn’t get the tire down. 9 hours on the side of the road and it’ll never happen again!

Did it on my 2015 & 2017 Tacomas

I'm assuming because oil on the tire will cause it to degrade?

I lowered my spare and coated the chain and mechanism when I sprayed the underbody for exactly that reason. I highly suggest lowering the spare and pulling out the factory jack at least once a year to verify all is in order.

When lubing the chain and mec. always use a dry lube like graphite, you don't want anything on there that can attract dust and fine particles that will bind the winch up over time.

I figured this out the hard way.

Pro tip: turn the tire over so the valve stem is pointed down to check psi easily.
