Got my 3rd gen back from the mechanic yesterday.

Can someone who knows better tell me if it's normal/okay for bushings to be bulging out like this?

Some look better than others -- the last few pics seem seated nicely.

I'm not going to speak as any authority... but I can say for certain that that rear shock top nut has been cranked down WAY too far. You're only supposed to tighten those down until it just barely starts to bulge.

As for the lower shock mounts, I'm pretty sure those will get ripped apart in their natural rotating travel. I'd take it back and ask for it to be corrected. Honestly, I'd do it myself, but since you've already paid for the service, make them do it.

@Wheeler's Off-Road Inc carries Bilstein. Any advice guys? I'm not familiar with lower rubber bushings on the shocks, so I'm not sure what would cause this or what the remedy would be.

The bolts in the moving parts of the suspension should be torqued to pretty specific numbers with the vehicle in full compression. As in sitting on the ground or on a drive on lift.

Those look to have been over torqued and likely with the suspension in full droop as the vehicle sat on a frame lift.

If I'm correct, those bushings will be wasted way before they should be.

It's not hard to correct them, just some time.

    Ugh. Nothing is ever easy.

Wish I had the know-how to do this kind of stuff myself.

    Thanks all for the insight.

And Wheelers is where I got the kit, so I’d definitely appreciate any feedback from them.

The bushing should not exceed the diameter of the cushion retainers.

This is why I do all work myself. It may take me a little longer but it's done right.

Poor workmanship. I'd be in shit if a customer showed these photos to my boss.
