Nikon D3300 w/ 55-200mm zoom. I have a 300mm zoom but the pictures are not as crisp
so I leave the 55-200 on 90% of the time...

Yea I'm into close up shots but I don't want to date these things - and I understand the
damage they can do, I don't f*k with 'em, don't disturb 'em, I understand they are not my pet...
I'm a little long in the tooth ( 60+ ) to be daring wildlife 'eh ..

If my wife had seen that thing we would have been hightailing it out of that campground. She HATES snakes. Once when I was away on a business trip a Florida black snake decided that our front walkway would be a good place to spend it's final moments on earth. My wife would not go out the front door even after a full day of it not moving and my assuring her that black snakes are harmless. By the time I got back at the end of the week you could have used the snake as a cane, but she was still going out the back door and walking around the house to go outside.

That's too bad someone is that afraid of anything. I'm scared of spiders for sure, and terrified of upper order mathematics, but that's because
I understand neither - once someone understands 'some-thing' then they are less likely to be terrified of it.

CPS-65 I’m good for some, but I’m not for everyone.

So no selfie with the rattler, or sending someone up to pose with it? I'm just thinking of dumb things I often see in national parks.

ECT mode raises the speed of when the torque converter locks up. So it should produce more heat when towing at normal speeds. just something to think about.

Stick it in D and go. If the tranny begins hunting between gears, then downshift out of OD. No need to over complicate things.....

Probably could as long as traveling on a flat grade, otherwise the tranny will hunt. Imo, i think you'll find S5 about right.

I think one person’s hunt is another persons normal. I’d literally never heard the term until I started reading this forum. To me a automatic transmission is simply doing what I would be doing with my manual transmission: choosing a gear based on load and desired acceleration. One thing it can’t do is anticipate a hill coming or pass coming up.

I have a feeling some of you would hate riding in my truck with me. I shift a lot. Lol

I do have to say though, that the gearing in these trucks encourages a lot of shifting if you use them for there intended purpose of increasing fuel economy. If fuel economy is of zero interest to you, by all means leave it in 4th. I also like the quietness of 5th and 6th. 4th is a bit loud going down the freeway... welp only until I installed the mud terrains... can’t hear the engine anymore.
