Borla Cat back AFE intake URD Y pipe
Hey guys, I have a 2018 TRD offroad, i installed the URD Y pipe, which deletes the secondary cats, however this is suppost to not throw any codes because the 02 sensors come beffore the cats, and they are not monitored. however i have been getting P013C codes for the last month and im about at my wits end, i checked all the clamps, no obvious leaks, replaced both o2 sensors, no change, installing the OV tune did not help either. From what i have been reading the o2 sim bungs do not help with these codes.

furthermore, the light seems to come on, stay on for a few days, then go away, then come back, if i clear it it stays off for anywhere between 20 minutes and 2 days and comes back on, I currently have on my truck
    AFE momentum intake
    URD Y pipe
    Borla Cat back
    OV 91 octane tune.

    thanks in advance

I suspect with the lack of secondary cats some of the resulting back pressure is playing into this and not allowing the O2 sensors to get an accurate reading....just a theory to explore.

my 2nd thought here after looking at the pictures of the pipe on the URD website is that there may be an exhaust leak near the O2 sensors. How are you plugging the extra bung on both right side and are you 100% sure there are no leaks from the plug? Also, have you inspected the bungs to ensure they are 100% sealed by their weld? I poor weld or incomplete weld can leak.

The extra bung is plugged with a threaded plug that URD includes, all the welds look good, i would see about getting the whole thing welded to just make sure theres no leaks, however i dont want to get the thing welded up only to not have the issue solved then have to pull it off again.

get some spark plug non fouler in the right size to space the rear o2 sensors out from the exhaust stream.

yep I hear ya. I think the next step is to get on the phone with URD and see if they have any thoughts

Also was there a seal crush washer included with the threaded plug?

Yo buddy. I actually encountered the same thing. I'd double check all your fittings. I ended up ordering two cat sensor offset tubes that seemed to do the trick. Error codes never came back.

    http://www.bigdaddiesgarage.com/angled-cel-fix.html

These guys make a quality product and ship it fast. You can also get cheaper ones that are not made out of the high quality stainless steel that these are if you just want to experiment.

EDIT: I just wanted to add that I've got the following mods that are VERY similar to your setup.

    AFE momentum intake
    URD Y pipe
    MBRP Cat back
OV 91 octane tune. (On the way)

No there was not a seal washer, it just screws into the bung, URD is at a loss as well, i tried working through it with him on facebook messenger and he basically told me he couldnt help me.

Question: I’m planning on adding the URD mk2 y pipe to my cat-back Borla exhaust. Do use these on the y pipe bung holes or on the front two o2 sensors closest to the manifolds?
    Thanks.

The right angle "bung" devices go into the marked holes in the picture below. (Stock above, urd below) I think many people have been fine without them, so I only advise using them if you've had an issue. It certainly corrected mine.

I ran into the exact same problem as OP and I have the same set up as OP as well, URD Y Pipe MKII, Borla Catback, OVTune except I just have a different air filter since I'm running the K&N.

I ordered the angled CEL fix from Big Daddie's Garage however my PayPal payment was refunded immediately, I tried sending them an email to see what's up with no response and I have attempted to call them but the number provided doesn't even ring. Maybe they are no longer in business?

Anyhow I found a much cheaper option by 1/2 the price on Amazon and it comes as a 4 piece kit which is much more versatile compared to the BDG option. After installing no more P013C code thrown and hopefully doesn't come back!

Didn't want to start a new thread but am interested in the y-pipe, can this be installed with the TRD OR stock exhaust? Does it throw any CELs? If so what is needed to correct that?

I've got it on mine along with KDMax. I think the Y pipe made a bigger difference than the tune as far as performance honestly. The fitment was great.

I did pop a code once (forget the specific name but it was bank x sensor 2 slow to respond). I was on a road trip and cleared the code. Never came back. When I got home I checked the connections and a lot were loose, especially where the Y pipe bolts to the downpipes.

That was probably 3000 miles ago and it hasn't come back on. The rest of my exhaust is stock. I don't notice a sound difference but butt dyno says there's a difference.
