I'm interested in adding a bumper and winch in the near future and am looking for some input on my front suspension. I know this has been beat to death but I've spent hours reading threads on different setups and I don't think I'm any closer to a decision so I thought I'd ask for an opinion. Here's my current setup:

    front: eibach springs/5100s
    rear: Dakar + AAL
    285s
stock bumpers front and rear, canopy on back.

    What I want to add:

trail gear low profile tube bumper: 55 lbs
Warn M8000 with synthetic line: 55lbs
    ===
    total gain of 110 lbs

I really like the way the truck sits now. There's a slight rake (rear is about 1" higher, which I prefer). I have a good amount of clearance for the 285s. Only get a bit of rubbing in the front under certain conditions off road. I don't know how much lift I'd lose adding 110 lbs but I'd like to keep the stance I have now if possible. I might also add sliders in the future. Options I'm considering:

    - OME 882
    - OME 883
    - King coilovers
    - keep the front as is
    - something else?

    Appreciate any input!

If you're adding a winch and bumper I would definitely get the 883 springs.

Keep in mind that you'll also be replacing your stock bumper, which weighs something like 50 pounds says the internet.

I've got the 882's on mine (3"lift but a softer spring) the 883 is stiffer. With all the weight your adding go with an 883.
For what it's worth though, I just put a warn 10s with 25lbs of metal on the front and it didnt even budge the suspension. Been running it for a week and it measures out exactly as before the winch.

Oh, and it rides better now to. Much smoother with the added weight.

sorry, that wasn't clear. I meant just keep the eibachs. That's a cool way to mount a winch though
