Retrofit and BHLM Headlights

Looks good! Is there any way to fit anything larger in (SSC2/3)? Out of curiosity.

 

Yea ive seen a couple guys put larger pods in there. The ssc1 “fits” just right in there IMO. The ssc2 might be a cool look, the ss3 is just a bit big to me.

 

After about 900 hours I’m almost done with these angry boys

Been hard at work getting these lights done for @20tacoma17 ! Pretty extensive build:

-d2s 5.0 retrofit
-morimoto led high beam projectors
-quad switchback “angry halos”
-switchback drl’s
-some OG @MESO side markers. Don’t bother asking for these, I think they’re one of very few sets!
-smoked turn signal covers

You can get whatever you want. I just like having unique touches to make things different and many of my mods are Meso ideas. I don't know of anyone else with Demon eyes, (I think that's what Meso called them on Quads), on a 3rd gen since Meso changed his lights. He was the first and my current set has singles, Angry eyes. Now nothing is impossible but getting those custom Meso triple staggered side markers will be a little tougher.

 

Damn...those are one mean ass set of lights.

 

Maybe a stupid question, but what work is involved installing dual projectors?

 

Dual High/low projectors get pretty involved, especially with getting them aligned properly. These headlights have 1 high/low projector and 1 high beam projector which just means I will have 1 low beam and 2 actual high beams per side. Much easier but still a bit of work.

Have to admit, I'm impressed with the light output on these.

A few questions about this:

1. Who are these guys? I kinda wanna see those.
2. I think, for me, the appeal of fitting an SSC2 inside is that it comes with an SAE High-beam auxiliary lens, and thus could be paired with the high beams and legally run on the road.
3. Were the heat sink pins exposed at all at the back of the light housing? Is there any concern of the SSC1 overheating in the sealed space? Or worse, adding heat and causing other issues in/around the light housing?
