Perhaps Toyota has a better EV system under development.........

 

Toyota currently has the most EV cars on the planet. Also the federal incentives for EV's are for EV manufacturers who are unionized in the USA. Those mfg. do not allow an additional tax credit but there is still a federal credit, just not as much. Seems this is all about nothing.

I am rather surprised Toyota is late to the EV game. They smashed it out of the park with hybrids but nothing really get with PHEV or full electrics.

 

Maybe Toyota has seen this and doesn't want the bad press....

Toyota have been making EV's since 1997. The Prius runs off battery then gas and is considered an electric vehicle. They have the most EV's on the planet.

 

The Prius is a parallel hybrid. It’s not a true EV.

toyota is late to the, I guess I should specify, pure electrically driven with zero internal combustion engine game.

I haven't done much research on this subject but when it comes to true EVs, Toyota does not come to mind. They do come to mind with hybrid technology, but outside a version of the Prius, I'm not sure what they've even done in the full EV world.

 

The entire ev movement is a joke. Sure it saves on fossil fuel but the amount of desrruction going on mining lithium is unimaginable. It destroys all the land, brings up a couple dozen other hazardous chemicals and makes it a wasteland to not be used again. This entire green energy thing is a joke, many dont realize but the grid is set up in 3 sectors. Wind and solar does not provide even 2 percent of the nations power its nuck or coal. Shit we have been running our 3 coal plants full bore fore months now because the green stuff aint there and the natural gas prices went up 7x. Arrogant pelple thinking they now mother nature and how to fix her.
