RAV4 knob on the left and stock on the right. Pretty small mod, but these bigger rubber coated knobs are so much nicer and the fact that they are illuminated is a plus.

Went from SnugTop topper with custom drawers under a sleeping platform, to a RTT. This gave me back my entire bed space to use.

I finished my bed setup (for the most part) this weekend.

Redid the whole power to the bed, used the small cubby on the passenger side for the fuse block. All bed power runs off the second battery w/solar on the hood.
Added bed LED strips up under the tonneau sides.
Added a Kicker audio system in the bed, speakers mounted directly in the bedside, amp mounted to the passenger side bedside molle panel.
Added the OEM large cubby to the drivers side and just finished an On Board Water setup from @ProForce in said cubby:

I decided to put the quick disconnects outside the cubby, off the drivers side bedside molle panel. This allows me to have a more permanent water input setup. I can fit the larger orange water hose and spray head inside the cubby. And I can close the cubby with the pump in action so it keeps the noise down (but its not very noisy either way). I added an additional quick disconnect to the hose spray head side, so I can add an RV faucet at some point in the future.

Power for the bedside LED strips is wireless. I use a second one of these to control the rack lights as well. 1 remote has 4 buttons so you can run up to 4 of these units from a single remote. You can't beat these for price and function:

Power for the amp is switched from the power panel on the small cubby (green LED rocker).
Power for the On Board Water is switched from the power panel on the small cubby (blue LED rocker).

Correct, the backside of the rav4 ones have a small cover that pops off and is not used on the taco radio. After that, you just pull off the oem ones and push the rav4 knobs into place. I got the info from a thread here.

 

Went all in this weekend and put a dent in the Meso parts pile. Full interior chrome delete, hexrack, trimplates, dual Maps and dome, stage 1 tt. Now onto the v5s. Just in time for spooky season.

 

Got bored and painted my d ring on the hatch with some green spray paint I had. Turned out ....bad lol. Anyone know a spray paint that matches army green better?

Cleaned up the CMC, repainted, and folded back the pinch welds.

Added the diff valve relocate.

 

Deleting chrome... I'll post another one when I get them mounted this evening.

I need a steel bumper. People are really driving like shit.

 

What I did today… found the ‘clunk’ sound. Any one ever have a Fox dampener reservoir give it up like this? It’s only about 18months old and less than 10k miles.

 

I would get a can or jar of the touch up paint and do it that way... I think they even make it in a spray can. Your paint code is on the door jamb sticker...

 

9/26/21 - I had just gotten back home after spending just over a hour at the carwash and had a bite to eat, then rinsed out my microfiber towels and hung those up to dry in the apt. then I said to myself, "Self that sounds like a combine outside my window in the field cutting beans!" Sure enough. Spewing a cloud of thick dust and soybean remnants out it's ass!! So I hurried up and moved my truck and while doing so I thought a chocolate malt sounded good. So decided to drive uptown to the local Dairy Queen while the farmer finished cutting the beans. Took a few pictures when I got home of the freshly combined field behind my shiny taco. I highly recommend Meguiar's Ceramic Spray in the bright blue bottle. I use it as a drying aid and it sure makes the silver taco look good. So I have since calmed down and am going to watch some football and the NASCAR race from Las Vegas tonight. Cheers!
