I recently put an ARE CX on my 3rd Gen, but I have a question.

On the windoor seals are these plastic “clips” that press up against the seal when closed. I am wondering if they are there for shipping purposes or do they need to be there because they are seated on the seal leaving a divot making me wonder if they compromise the seal.

Any ideas?
