After tear down and measuring I concluded that it's not feasible to build "new" fenders because the stock airbox can only be lifted 2.5" up before touching hood. I am going to find 37/40" tire to test fit and see where exactly I am cutting, but I know for sure I can't cut more than 2.5" when it comes to raising engine components. It's going to be interesting winter :anonymous::sawzall:

Anybody around the golden horseshoe need to buy a 40' container? I have one for sale and I'm looking for a space to keep one for storage. Currently in Grimsby but I need a spot anywhere within an hour of the GTA.

Risked cancer and reproductive harm to put in Wheeler's 1/4" bumpstop extensions P/N WOR-308067. Knocking off little things on the to-do list while the paint dries on the frame gussets.

The Wheeler's bumpstops use a socket head cap screw instead of a stud molded into the elastomer, so they're much easier to install when the LCAs are removed.

I thought it's only Californians that face that risk... with almost everything they touch...lol
Here is to me, who has been biting down on lead sinkers to attach them to my fishing line since I was 8... think I swallowed one by accident before... almost cracked the toilet bowl the next day

Anyone try to relocate the forward facing camera on their 3rd gen? Is there a wired extension cable of sorts I could buy? Or connectors I could find somewhere? I was thinking I should remount it on my brush guard. I think I've had one too many beers and been staring at the truck for too long...

oh man that was a great episode.

Suspension - Honestly, If were to get suspension all over again, i would still go the half way point so to speak. one of those, you get what you pay for scenarios. but anything is an upgrade to the stock OR struts. Over all - from putting my suspension on piece by piece - the biggest difference was certainly the 2" lift.

Wheels - After marring up my current Alloys (the pro comps) on quinn lake - for serious offroading Steelies any days but certainly good rubber. Good rubber can never fail you - but an underpowered engine moving an overweight truck can

Armour - I cried when high truck beached itself. i stare at my skids time to time and remember that they've paid themselves 10 fold over.

Lockers - Lockers before light bars but one after lightbars are used at least once.

Winch - Oh boy after seeing that. i'm so much more aware of that type of scenario. What even tore at that point? I hope it wasn't the mounting face on the body side....

lights - you can use a $60 lightbar kit from Amazoom and certainly have all of the benefit with the cheap cost. I'd need to ride in a truck with some fancy multi-thousand dollar lights like those KCs to see the more notable differences between cheap and pricey. Running my current speedDemon 40" bar, i've noticed the almost fogginess that it casts (tossing the highbeams up seems to remedy this), where from what i understand (and what gathered from Ronny Dhal recent videos on lights and he was talking about the clarity), i think having a higher quality bar might be where the money is in lights; for their clarity from what i can tell.

tent - Hobo RTT go BRRRRR
