Drove it on the highway and started to notice the high pitched humming I’ve heard a bit has gotten worse. I’m assuming wheel bearing but open to any other ideas of what to check out

So im stuck, I need the power from the dual filament dtrl bulb, but don't want to use it, I want to use the single outside marker bulb as the blinker. I can get it wired up but it is hyper flashing due to it not having the third wire...
    Any help??
But this is as far as I got, didn't do any work yesterday

Hey everyone. The past few weeks I have been adding some audio components to the stock system on my '14 AC, I put RF three way 6x9's in the doors, swapped in some pioneer tweeters, and added a Pioneer powered under seat sub, speaker wired through a harness extension to preserve factory wiring. But something I did today was a game changer: I put a couple small kicker mids (60 bucks) basically where the useless headliner rear speakers were. At first I could barely hear it to through the headliner against the other components but then I cut holes in the liner and flush mounted them. Without the liner baffling them these these things filled the void that was bugging me perfectly. The sound surrounds me and the speakers are only a couple inches wide. Honestly the upgrade flabbergasted me and thought I would share. All this was under 500 and I can max the HU volume and everything is clear as a bell, and frickin loud.

    where’d you move it to?

My 2010 didn’t have DTRLs and I didn’t want to do the housing melting mod so I used this for my halos when I did my retrofit. Another option but it works great!

    https://www.amazon.com/Mobilistics-Daytime-Running-Universal-Control/dp/B01IFWNSFI

Edit: just realized your problem is hyper flash not DTRL control. I jumped to conclusions and this probably isn’t your solution.

might be able to do something with a load resistor to trick it into thinking the bulb is there??

Any pictures of the roof mounted speakers. It sucks that there are wires going there but virtually no sound from the factory "speaker" if you want to call it that.

Ya I have dtrl. It's a three wire 4157 bulb, I can use the power from it for my halo. But when I use the blinker wire over to the two wire side marker light it hyper flashes. I said the hell with it for now, as I want to get a painted grill so I took the halo controller out for now.

I would like to see a picture of that. Those stupid headliner speakers are such a joke. Think just swapping the speakers out without any power upgrades would do any good?

I wonder what he used? 3.5" 30W? I'm kinda willing to buy a set of whatever and give it a shot.

The wiring is already there right? Literally anything has to be better than the piezo pos's that are there. I really want to make significant upgrades to my stereo, but a bandaid for now would be awesome. I've even briefly considered just bringing a Bluetooth speaker along with me. At 60+mph the stock stereo just doesn't cut it

Lol I remember the those days. I couldn't hear a damn thing with OEM audio. The only thing I haven't upgraded is the tweeters and those hockey pucks in the head liner.

So this is what we're working with. The wiring is there of course but how's the quality? Meh..

    Screenshot_20210927-231528_Gallery.jpg

I can't remember what the connector pins look like. So I'd have to pull the liner down and take a look or blindly buy something and do a little rewiring.

It's worth a shot if the guy is being %100 honest about the difference it makes :notsure:
