Damn I haven't been in that neck of the woods in some time. Shot my first elk near there as a kid. Good to see it's still being kept up

Trout Creek Mtns from the 4th of July. It got hot so I headed up to a river crossing on the Malheur River to sit in a creek the rest of the weekend. :)

I need some Toyota friends in portland SW washington. I recently got took delivery of my tacoma but have gone out with a few coworkers who have Jeeps. Every time we go out I see groups of toyotas on the trails but never see anything on here about trail meetups. Am I missing it somewhere?

Great pics. Native Oregonian here. I'll dig up some past pics of my LC days, been without a truck for several years and we just picked up a 2021 DCSB OR. Let the adventures resume.

@xplorn Ken love your pics. Been awhile since I've seen you, CTW maybe 2013?

Did a little scouting for elk this past weekend. Here’s a lake in Southern Oregon. Nice view from the campsite. Road in definitely screens out the Subaru crowd haha

We had a similar mission. Alvord, Trout Creek, then northern Black Rock/Sheldon with a rain/snow front overnight that made getting out interesting. I didn't take a lot of pics and these were drone accidentals.

Yeah I saw you on Saturday. When I arrived at Fields there was not a soul there. When I got done selling my kids to fill the tank with gas, there was like six cars in the lot. Any rate, I finally got up into the Trouts, or more accurately the Oregon Canyon Mtns., as I made the loop from east to west. I had planned to camp up there somewhere but not being too familiar with the country, I came back down and camped at the hot springs. Actually behind the little butte there at the end of the dead-end road. Hot springs was full to overflowing with tents, and "hot springs people" aren't my cup of tea.

Nice country up there! Can't wait to make a return trip!
