I'm looking to upgrade to an either C or E rated all-terrain tire and there aren't any in the OEM 265/70R16 size. A bunch of options in 245/75R16 and that size won't change the speedo readings by much. I don't know the wheel width. Would the 245/7516 wheel width of 6.5-8" work?
    Thanks..

    It will be 100% fine.

C rated is basically standard load so there's really no reason to chose 245's because of a c rated tire. I'd suggest stock and standard load if thats the only reason.

I run 245's SL in the winter and 265/75 e rated summer.

My reason for inquiring about the C or E rating is because I've been running SL rated and have had a couple punctures through the treads. So I figure going up in the rating might help. I drive dirt and rocky Forest Service roads a lot and am planning on doing an Alaska trip next June.
