HI ALL! I live in the southwest and have owned myfourth yota, the T100, for about 3 years. I will probably be searching and scrubbing threads about routine maint and possibly upgrading suspension in near future. Trying to keep everything healthy is my work as of yet.

Would anyone mind pointing me in the direction for lubrication tips in regards to which weight to use in high 250k+ trucks? I remember thick being good, but wanted to see if I can get away with running thinner gear oils in the front diff/transfer case such as 75-90. I am about to put 80-90 in the rear diff since I havnt changed it since I purchased and I have been lucky and 0 issues!

Anyway, drop a line and give a shout out if you are near the green chili state!

    -Jim

The search feature can be a bit quirky. Honestly, Idk if we have a dedicated T100 thread.

If you use the search in the upper right corner, (magnifying glass) don't use the top search bar. Use the bottom "google" search bar and it will usually lead you back to TW concerning T100 threads.

Is it a 97 tacoma or a 97 T100? The only things a T100 has in common with tacos is the motor and rear diff. The T100 FB groups has tons of info. For suspension you are going to want new torsion bars for the front. Rear has a bunch of different options.

Thanks all. I may end up switching parts with tacomas and 4runners eventually because the previous owner was decent but let a few important things go. The driveshaft was probably tired when I first purchased and I just got around to getting a few things rebuilt/balanced. I would like to paint the under side in portions since the oem paint is getting fairly bare. Hoping for some snow this winter. There is no salted roads in the southwest where I camp, so that is nice.

Pickledpigsfeet, Whats the coolest thing on your FJ..?
