These are strange times.

Used to be far fewer cartridges (and honestly, do we really need a dozen fucking proprietary cartridges per caliber?)
And you could always get some ammo at the local hardware store or gas station.
Now we have a zillion unnecessary cartridges, many of them performing near enough the same in their caliber, and can't find ammo for them.

But yeah, I'd say get something that has some popularity and sales volume.

Young women today don't know what woman power is.

Though I have never pulled the trigger on 6 of mine.

Kind of sad, my rarest caliber is .300 winmag.

Same here.
It's a rural thing.
The main meal on a farm is at mid-day, and is called dinner.
Supper in the evening is a lighter meal.

30-06, 308, 243 and even 30-30 I think the corner fuel stations carried those when I was a youngster. Just about any small town hardware store too
