Acquaintance of mine has a TRX and finally got a chance to take a ride in it this afternoon. Oh man that thing is f'n awesome. The sound, acceleration, even the interior was sweet. I fell head over heels in love. I would say the only thing I didn't like was the obnoxiously big 'RAM' on the tailgate. I guess it comes with the territory on a truck like that.

Now I've got about 25k in mods in my Taco, and don't get me wrong, I love it as well. I made it exactly into the truck that I wanted. But that TRX is a whole other level. After I left his house and got back in my truck, I couldn't help but feel it was a like a toy.

I still feel more secure out in the middle of nowhere with the tried and trued Tacoma vs this first year experiment, but damn once you experience that power there's no going back.

I was at a Jeep dealer last week (I have a TJ) and they had a 392 Wrangler. Can't imagine having that kind of power. It would be hard to not drive from gas station to gas station. $78,780

There's no replacement for displacement... which is a huge problem, because on a RAM truck, it's gonna need replacing in 50k miles.

The price of your Tacoma and 25k in mods I think you'd still need to cough up another 25k dollars....hope that helps:rofl:

The TRX is a nice truck. I wouldn't want to drive it in the winter with the shocks Dodge puts on it.

Good one! Yea I couldn't bring myself to actually buy a first year model truck, no matter how friggin awesome it is. A lease would be fun though

I thought the RAM tailgate is actually an option.

and yea a truck that costs 2x as much as the most loaded taco is obviously better.

don’t ride in a 6x6 merc after the TRX

Ok, this too; 10-12 mpg at best?
I know though, if I had money to burn I'd have one to put in the massive garage with several others...
