Truck driver b.s.

Theres a trucking company right across the street from where I work. I saw one of their drivers pulling in today with the roof of the trailer rolled back like a can of sardines, lol. Low bridge takes another one, lol. I wonder if that was his last day?

 

I didn't catch this yesterday... You're never too old for this industry. One of our drivers... Mr. Calvin... Is the ripe young 87 years of age and still doing it. That's him in the cowboy hat.

 

Did it for 3... I was able to upgrade trucks along the way... But just barely. I also worked on the portable toilet side in both the CDL big boy pumper and the little tugger... those things...

 

My last company did both. I hired on as a roll off driver but got persuaded to get my tanker and help on the toilet side when we were low on drivers.

 

Fucking great. Dude who I drop trailer to, his truck broke down. Gave him mine for his deliveries while I wait for his to be fixed. The reefer unit on the trailer I was dragging to him crapped out this morning. Spent 2.5 hours transferring shit to the working trailer. Here I now sit waiting....

 

Third fucking time since I took this route in March I've had to swap shit due to busted trailer. Welp, not making it home tonight...

 

Got the truck back, swap out for mine in the morning. So many guys where I work are fucking pigs.


There's garbage cans at the fuel stations for fucks sake...

 

Nice. I like my shit tidy as well.

 

That's what I always tell the other guys. And it's not yours, you didn't pay for it, show a little bit of respect...

 

I always keep a 5 gallon bucket.

Ours ain't that fancy. It's what you would call a base Model 379. But I do got a big boy caterpillar under the hood.

Looks like I'm co-driving 8-ish horses for about 50h starting next weekend. Looking forward to it. Unfortunately not the freightliner this time for various reasons but hey, still fun to haul.

 

I get a break at work just in time to watch my favorite NASCAR driver careen into a wall... my God it's been a Monday.

This was after I had to jump my truck off by lugging a heavy ass jump box from the shop five hundred yards to my truck. And then... Because I didn't tighten the lid on my coffee mug... I ended up getting scolding hot coffee on my crotch.

I definitely have a case of the Mondays.

 

Heading out for more fun! Not my regular truck. Had to put ten quarts oil in. Not suprised. At all.

 

Doncha just love that. Bright side, if that's the worst thing today it's a good day!
